Cheers to the Bride & Groom!

David & Jessica got married this weekend. Rehearsal dinner was at the Swedish Pantry, wedding at the Terrace, and a picnic the following day at Pat & Kathy's.

Here is Kali making a toast to the new bride & groom.

Jessica and David really took the time to make their wedding unique. It was very elegant, non-traditional, and fun.

Each bridal party member was introduced with a little bio about them, including how Scott tries to sing karaoke to "Play That Funky Music White Boy". Instead of clinking glasses to get the happy couple to kiss, you had to sing a song to them with the word love in it. In order to eat, someone at your table had to give the correct answer to the "Are You Smarter Than a Kindergartener" question. Instead of the dollar dance, they had a honeymoon dance. In order to dance with either one of them you had to fill out a card with some words of wisdom. And to end the night, the happy couple dashed through lines of people holding sparklers.

Being that it was the 4th of July, we also watched part of the fireworks. I think after the big debate, Escanaba's fireworks were classified as the best.

Blog List

I am playing around with the different features of this blogging thing.
I added a Blog list. Since the only one I really know that has this is Mark, I added his. But just for kicks and grins, I added Chris Saari's. I'll probably delete this feature, so don't worry. My family won't know too much about you. Nobody but Mark checks this anyway. He already knows everything about Chris. and Vice Versa.

St. Thomas Church picnic was today... Lori was the big winner of the day, casually peeling off a rip off ticket to reveal the $100.00 prize. I spent $5, won $1 and was getting my two new tickets. Also bought an additional $5. Only won 50 cents, so I gave it to Jaden. He was having a ball ripping off a bunch of tickets. Never did hit a big winner. Auntie Lori was kind and gave him and Rogan each $5. Looking forward to next year. Maybe they'll have the $250 tickets and that will be my take home prize.

Family Fun Day

Grandma and Grandpa Henderson took Kali, Jaden, & Rogan to the Country Club today. They had a fun day for kids....inflatable toys, t-shirts, tattoos, golfing, slip & slide, and all around fun. Kali must have had a really good time and worn her self out. She didn't make so much as a peep when I put her to bed tonight.
